18U BOYS

  • 16/18U Boys program promotes the student athlete with a balanced and efficient training and competitive schedule.

  • High School teams are great for athletes with significant water polo experience at the competitive club or  high school level.

  • HS Boys are offered:

Pre Season (one time payment of $400 Nov until end December)         and Main Season (January-end July - $350/month)

PVWPC 16U/18U BOYS COACHES:  TBD

IMPORTANT REMINDER:   All PVWPC members must be registered with USA Water Polo prior to their first day of water polo training and maintain current membership status.  PVWPC athletes are required to be a Gold Member, affiliated with P.V Water Polo Club.  Please follow link to register:

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT:   We use a registration system called SportNinja. For first time users you will need to create an account as the parent first and then create a player profile for each of your players from there. Please make sure you include your player's USA Water Polo Membership # in the "Governing Body ID" when filling in your player's information.

***Please note: Tournament and League costs are in addition to your membership registration

AGE DETERMINATION:  A player’s age division is determined by the athlete’s age on August 1st of the year in which the tournament is being held. If a player is 16 years old on August 1 of the upcoming Summer, they are eligible to compete in the 16U division. If an athlete turns 17 on July 31, his/her age is 17 on August 1st and is therefore not eligible for the 16U division. They are, however, able to participate in the 18U division. They are, however, able to participate in the 18U division and some 16U competitions (comp. rule dependent).

COMMITMENT LEVEL: The 16/18U Boys teams are considered a competitive team. Each athlete is expected to attend each practice and tournament competition. We will be offering a "training only" program for athletes wanting to maintain water polo fitness but not compete in games - details to come.

SWIM TO WIN: This is a dedicated conditioning practice scheduled on select “off days” throughout the week. These sessions are held separately to ensure that swim training does not take away from water polo drills, tactics, or scrimmages. While attendance is not mandatory, please note that participation is an important factor in the overall evaluation process and will be considered when determining team placement.

TEAM PLACEMENT:  Team Placement and athlete grouping is based on athletes age, participation, skill level, and work ethic.
