ABOUT COACH JOHN KIMREY
Coach John started playing water polo in 2012 for the Santa Monica High School team. He played as goalie on the varsity team from sophomore through senior years. Throughout high school, John also competed on multiple club teams, most notably Westside Aquatics, which won first place in the bronze division at Junior Olympics in 2015. In 2017, John returned to JO’s to play with Longhorn Aquatics, a club team who recruited him out of Texas.
After graduating from Santa Monica High School, John continued to play water polo at Santa Monica College for two years. During his time on the SMC team, John set three goalie records that stand to this day: most saves in a single game, most career saves, and most saves in a single season.

In August 2019, John elevated to coaching at Palos Verdes High School. He will be returning to PVHS for the 2020 season as well.
